Custom Dust Extraction Flange
- The task was to design and manufacture an atypical flange for sawdust extraction from a woodworking machine,
- We started by measuring the cross-sections to be connected on the machine, as well as the available volume in which we had space to model and any obstacles that needed to be considered and excluded from the modeling space,
- We then incorporated all necessary data into the CAD modeling environment and, considering the chosen FDM/FFF 3D printing technology, designed an optimal design with the minimum required volume to save material, time, and costs,
- Finally, we produced the flange as a monolithic part, which was successfully installed on the woodworking machine.
