We are still fascinated by the versatility and diversity of additive manufacturing technologies in practice.
In this project, we are helping to restore a historic facade in Bratislava, where the aim was to preserve the original reliefs.
How did we proceed?
- In the first step, we performed a 3D scan of the facade using a drone, which provided us with a rough point cloud.
- We then remodeled this data into a manufacturable and precise 3D geometry.
- We continued with 3D printing, which allowed us to produce large-scale parts. The surface was then roughly finished by filling and applying an adhesion primer as preparation for installation and finalization directly on the facade.
In this way, additional parts and reliefs of the facade will be gradually restored.
This project proves that 3D printing has a place not only in industry, but also in art, history, and restoration.
We are glad that our technologies can contribute to the preservation of cultural heritage.
